July Updates and 2016 PRISM contest winner in Dark PNR on sale!

RELEASING THE DEMONS won first place in Dark Paranormal and finaled for Best First Book in the 2016 PRISM contest at RWA Nationals this month!

I logged into the ceremony via computer (once I finally figured out how to do it) and it was so much fun to watch! I was so nervous and I had to give an acceptance speech, and OMG, I looked like fool, but I’m so, so thrilled and honored!

I still can’t believe it!

I gave a shout out to Soul Mate and my editor because if it weren’t for them giving this story a chance, none of this would’ve happened. Not to mention my readers!!! ❤ I really love writing this series and I’m ecstatic that others enjoy reading it.

SWEET SACRIFICE cover reveal!

And last but not least, I received the cover for my current novella WIP, SWEET SACRIFICE! Woot! I never expected it this early, LOL, but hey, why not share it? I think it’s a great depiction of my hero, Bash. 😉 The novella will be part of a collective with Soul Mate Publishing set to roll out next year. Can’t wait!

In other news, I’ve finished up the blurb on SWEET SACRIFICE (will be sharing it soon!) and submitted for a cover. Over my vacation this past week, I hit the 15K word mark (out of an estimated 35K) and it’s coming along nicely! Although, I gotta tell you, it isn’t easy submerging into the mind of a deeply depressed woman who’s lost her husband. Definitely needed to take a few breaks from it.

But there’s always an HEA…of course. 😉

I CANNOT WAIT TO SHARE THIS STORY WITH YOU ALL! It’s dark and heart breaking and gut wrenching–more than RtD was, IMHO–and I’m terrified of unleashing this story unto the world. BUT I MUST. Slated release is either late this summer/early fall, but you guys will be the first to know about it. 😀

In the meantime, I’ve been working on a new novella! A secret project for a secret collective by Soul Mate Publishing (set to roll out next year). 😉 I’m about 10K words in and I’m really loving this temporary escape into another crazy world (albeit, it’s still dark, but in a different way). The image above perfectly depicts the hero, a former Navy SEAL and freshly drafted Archangel in Heaven’s Third Sphere. Too bad his old mortal life keeps dragging him back to Earth, especially his widowed wife, Irene… 😀

There will definitely be more to come on this! I’ll send out sneak peeks of this gem soon once I whip the MS into shape.

Today is my official debut novel birthday! And there’s tons of fun to come!

First, I’m leaving for the Azores, Portugal on Friday through the end of August. \o/ Then I’ll be back in September with loads of guest blogs at my author friends’ websites (follow me on Twitter and Facebook for updates!) and I’ll be on a virtual blog tour during the first week of October. I’ll also be throwing a Facebook party (tentatively scheduled for the end of September) with a bunch of my awesome fellow author friends! Did I mention there will be lots of giveaways? YAS!
